Over 7+ years, I've partnered with stakeholders and organizations across multiple industries to architect learning ecosystems and build scalable learning strategies that align to business goals AND to how people actually work.
My story
I graduated from the College of Business at UT Arlington with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management. From there, my career took some interesting turns — project coordinator, math teacher, employee trainer — before landing where I was always meant to be: instructional design and learning strategy.
Every role along the way shaped how I think about learning. And through all of it, one thread never changed: a deep passion for solving problems, closing performance gaps, and helping people thrive in the workplace. That passion has led me to spearhead learning initiatives across multiple sectors, and it still drives every project I take on. I genuinely love transforming complex information into learning experiences that are clear, engaging, and actually useful on the job.
My design philosophy
A great learning experience is built on three pillars: curiosity, empathy, and iteration.
Ask the right questions. Before designing anything, I focus on understanding the real problem. Through conversations with stakeholders and a review of existing data and resources, I work to uncover the root cause of the performance challenge — because the right solution starts with the right diagnosis.
Design with the learner in mind. Understanding the learner's goals, challenges, and day-to-day responsibilities helps me design experiences that feel relevant, practical, and immediately applicable on the job. Learning should meet people where they are, not where we wish they were.
Improve through feedback- I take an iterative approach to every project — gathering input throughout the design and development process. This keeps stakeholders aligned, surfaces issues early, and consistently leads to stronger, more effective learning solutions.
What makes ME a great Learning Architect?
Well, for starters — I'm a unicorn! My non-linear career path has given me a rare combination of skills, and I now sit at the intersection of learning strategy, change enablement, process improvement, and project leadership. That breadth is my superpower.
As a project coordinator, I built a reputation for bringing order to complexity, streamlining end-to-end processes and keeping initiatives moving forward efficiently.
As a math instructor, I sharpened my skills in learner-centered design, data analysis, and creative problem solving. Now I leverage these skills in every learning solution I build.
As an employee trainer, I designed and led learning initiatives that equipped colleagues with the knowledge, skills, and resources they needed to perform with confidence.
As a learning architect and instructional designer, I specialize in needs analysis, curriculum architecture, eLearning development, LMS strategy, change enablement, and performance-focused learning design.
Lastly, as a life long learner, I'm endlessly curious with a growth mindset. I view setbacks as data, love a good troubleshooting session, and am always chasing the "how" and the "why" — which helps me connect with learners and design from their perspective, not just the organization's.
When I'm not architecting great learning experiences, you can catch me indulging in three E's:
Eating- I didn't choose the foodie life, the foodie life chose me. If you need me, I'll be eating my way through Dallas!
Exploring- New places, hidden gems, hiking trails, anything nature has to offer. If it's off the beaten path, I'm probably already planning a trip.
Enjoyment- I'm goofy, I laugh often, and I firmly believe JOY is a valid life hack.
